I was invited back for the autumn term to work with two year 6 classes to run Textile Art projects relating to the Tudors and Stuarts. I chose to focus on Elizabethan architecture and provided reference material. After making initial sketches the pupils worked in pairs sewing collages of timber-framed houses, which we put together, forming a wall hanging of a street scene. They also made puppet dolls, which they dressed in Tudor costume.
